A new, professionally installed system, less than 6 months use, has gone through 3 pumps!
Has anyone got any thoughts as to what could be wrong with the design/installation to have this effect.
On each occasion, loud noise has signalled the problem. I assume this means the bearings in the pump are what fails.
There are thermostatic valves on all radiators, except the bathroom.
Any ideas appreciated!

has the pump been installed the right way up? i don't mean direction of flow either. for instance, a grundfos pump installed on a horizontal pipe should have the centre spindle running just over horizontal. if it's installed vertically it can trap air in the uppermost part and wear the bearings which are water lubricated. what model pump and be a little more specific about it's position and include other details of the heating controls(this can help determine the type of system)
