hi, i have recently moved house and we have a myson hi-spec controlaire 25/32 boiler i've tried to get it started on both constant and the timer but after about 10 mins it goes off and the pilot light goes out as well any ideas anyone

Hello markyb1962 and welcome to the forum.

Most likely the thermocouple is the problem. This is a safety device that is heated by the pilot light to detect that it remains lit. Should the pilot light be extinguished, the thermocouple gets cold and turns the gas valve off.

These units are 'fail safe' such that when they fail, they turn the gas off, as it appears yours is.

They are not expensive, but need to be fitted by a gas safe registered engineer.

BTW I believe the 'Controlaire' is a Warm Air Unit and as such, there isn't any water in it so it's not a boiler.
