The kitchen tap leaks; it operates via a ceramic disc.
However (PLEASE believe me!) it is not the disc at fault, it is the rubber washer on the end of the cartridge.
I know this because I spent around 9 months trying to fix the other tap (which now works like a dream).
The cartridge is a non-standard size. I've been unable to find a replacement (yes, 9 months looking).
Eventually I found a near-similar cartridge, swopped over the rubber washer which fitted, and ...success.
I now want to replace the other washer.
From experience I know that none of the plumbers merchants locally, including 2 'warehouse' places for the trade, have a replacement.
So finally to my question: is there a specialist washer supplier who might have a replacement? Ideally down the M1 corridor (Northampton, MK, Luton, Watford, N London)?
