Just about to retile my kitchen floor in ceramic tiles, on chipping away the vinyl tiles originally fitted on screed there is the bitumen left underneath.
Can I tile directly onto this and what is the best thing to use grout or some other type of adhesive Thanks :D

Yes you can, make sure that the floor is very clean - no dust or grease (this is very important). Regular powdered floor tile adhesive from a tile shop will be fine. You should be paying about £10 for a 20Kg bag that will do about 4 sq metres. Ask them at the shop about tiling onto asphalt because they might recommend a waterproof primer with their adhesive. For concrete and asphalt floors I used to use feb fastset wall and floor tile adhesive and grey PCL grout (which is flexible). Both were very reasonably priced and in my opinion, worked perfectly every time. If tiling onto a wooden floor surface, use BAL flexible adhesive and grout - 5 times the price of the Feb stuff but on wood don't take any chances.
