I have been to a property with a primatic cylinder. Rad upstairs working ok, rads downstairs cold. Have bled them & ensured rad valves are open. 15mm pipework coming down to rads is also cold. Any suggestions on why lower rads are cold ?

This is a primatic Dave.

If the downstairs rads are each fed from upstairs then they are probably blocked with sludge.

trade questions are best asked in the Combustion Chamber section of this site. Email your registration details and licence number to admin@diynot.

Primatic so more than likely pumped heating gravity HW.
ON flow pipe from boiler there is usually an anti gravity valve (brass 3 inches long) these block up and stop correct flow going to rads.
Sharp hit with hammer can free them but support pipe with hand .
Cost about a fiver for new one

Pump is working, turned it up to see if that clears the problem, but to no affect. Will try checking anti gravity valve
