Hi,

I am after changing the normal rotary thermostat to a programmable thermostat.

The LOOK

I have removed the old thermostat, and there is three wires. The diagram below needs rotating, sorry!..There is a

Blue wire in Terminal 4
Black wire in Terminal 3
Brown wire in Terminal 1

The connections can be seen in the photo:

OLD

How do I connect this to the programmable thermostat which requires only two wires (for a COMBI Boiler) and would need terminating in Terminals A and B?

NEW

Any assistance gratefully recieved ...

Brown in A

Black in B

Blue in a terminal block not connected to anything as the new stat doesnt require a neutral.

I agree, however dont go confusing the example in the wiki with yours, the Brown needs to go in A on yours, and black in B. It would work either way round however, but best to stick with convention and have the permanent live on the common (A) and Switched live on relay output (B)
