We are looking for a new front door and want something reasonably contemporary. Lots of the engineered oak doors on the market have a pane of frosted glass - we want one of these doors with clear glass but they don't exist unless you pay £££ or go for one called the 'Oslo' which has a really narrow pane of glass.

Is it possible to remove this pane and replace it with a clear one? (for a joiner to do it, not me!)

Surely if they get broken, you don't have to replace the whole door?

Thanks

most front doors come with a complete panel and you cant change the glass you have to change the whole panel. you can get doors with clear glass for no extra cost ,depending on what you want, may sound silly but try looking at back doors you may find what you want

Try soildor, they are composite doors but look pretty good, I got one one order.

Can you post up a picture of the door you want? But in any case won't they be glazed with 'hockeystick beads' if so you should be able to reglaze it?
