Hi,

I'm having the house re-wired, and the electrician has got the floorboards up.

When I run the Kitchen hot tap, the water runs from the hot water tank on the landing, along to the bathroom, then down a wall into the kitchen. This wall is on the far side of both the Kitchen and Bathroom, so it enters the Kitchen on the far side, so it takes a long time to get hot.

Is it ok to put a 'T' just after the tank then bring the Kitchen hot water down so it enters the Kitchen by a shorter route. This would be under the house in the void? I assume it need insulating? Is it best to use plastic or copper. Is 15mm ok?

Cheers, Camerart
