Hi,
I have changed lights in the past and had no problem as there has always been a connector unit within the base of the light fitting, so it's been clear where to unattach the wires.
However in my living room I just took the fittings down and I can't see where to unattached the wires, they seem to go deep into the unit. The light unit is very thin so doesn't seem large enough to house a connector and i can't see anything in the roof or lower down the unit. And I don't really want to start cutting anything without knowing what i'm doing

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do here? Am I missing something?
Is the best thing to do to just cut the wires and create a new end to feed into the new unit?
I checked in the roof but it doesn't seem to be there either.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
