Hoping someone can help me, i currently have an old Honeywell thermostat which i would like to change to a new Honeywell wireless thermostat as this will allow me to re-position the thermostat into a different room.

My old thermostat has three wires Red/Blue/Yellow as shown below

The new thermostat which i'm looking to buy is Honeywell Y6630D but i'm confused how to wire it up, can some explain where the red/blue/yellow wires go to on the new thermostat wiring diagram?

I would suggest you uninstall the existing room stat.
I would expect the relay to be installed close to the boiler, taking a live and neutral from the local supply switch/FCU or from the supply live conductors at the boiler. (they would need isolating prior to undertaking the work)
Then you can install the switch wires between boiler and relay.
Just follow the instruction for the device and you heating arrangement. If you are unable to or not confident of completing this task correctly and safely! Then employ someone who can!

thanks for the reply, i probably should have mentioned the boiler is baxi back boiler system and the heating and water work off a programmed Honeywell timer. can i not just use the existing three wires already in place for the wireless receiver ?
