I've just had a quote from a local company to change my central heating from a solid fuel back boiler to a gas boiler (not combi) which will be located in the loft.
The guy said he would recommend changing all the rads and valves to new ones because they are really old, and also a new bigger water tank and header tank to solve the problem of hot water running out (we have really low mains water pressure)
He is currently working out a correct quote for me but said it would be around £3000 , i was expecting about half this amount but only expected to replace the boiler and relocate pipes!
What do you think?
