Changing washers in Bristan 1901 taps

I may be being thick but I can't work out how to change the washers in my Bristan 1901 taps.

I've taken off the top cover and undone the screw to remove the handle. I've removed the gland nut and the nylon cylinder below it but then I'm stuck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

just use a pair of adjustables on the lower nut and remove the complete insert etc.
