There are some amazing amounts of money being paid for a round of golf or a car ride.

Isn't wonderful that people can be so generous.

How does it make you feel?

We had those little envelopes come through the door where you pop in some change, seal it and wait for it to be collected.

Must have had at least one a month up until bout 5 years ago, then they suddenly stopped :?:

I'm not saying don't give to charity, but charities are so corrupt. You donate something down your local shop, and most is thrown away, and sold as weight, to be used as rags in the engineering trade, I'd say 90%, and the rest, if it's good, the shop staff have away for their personal use, without giving a donation. The rest is sold, and even then I've seen people swap the price ticket from a cheaper item, to steal it. And even then, the money collected, is it going to the correct place? Or spent in the right way? I don't think so. Or a £7 jacket, as priced, is sold, legitemately, then resold on ebay for a profit for the buyer, for £100, but the £100 isn't re-donated to charity. All a scam.

Save the children charity is one of the few where all the money goes on projects.

Simply volunteer at a local charity shop for the evidence. Everyone should. Just say, I'll work an hour when you go for dinner, I'll cover for you, they always need volunteers, but not thieving, immoral ones, they already work there. There is no formal interview process..you go, and they say aye or nay. What you heard is wrong, what you read is right, but wrong. Disgusting. Discarded clothing is referred to as 'RAGS', and is treated as such, designer jeans, with a pluck, a suit, that is worth £1000, but has a stain, the list is endless, and criminal.

Reminds me,,, It's Children In Need this Friday,,,, Stay out of the pubs on Friday, there will be hundreds round with the collecting buckets every couple of minutes. Stay at home and you'll have to listen to TW prattling on all night.

"Come on, look down de side of yer sofa. Every penny counts." etc etc
" Let's go to some little village you've never heard of and meet a little girl who's been baking cakes for CIN." "What's the total now?" "I'm Terry Wogan. I loike the sound of me own voice."! " Look who's dropped in!, Why, It's Pudsey himself, come to drum up contributions to the TW retirement fund , Begorrah."
" Everybody's donating their time for free this evening, But I'm picking up a nice fat cheque for my time ." "Ho Ho Ho."

Is it possible that the high value lottery winners will take over the auctioning of prizes and leave nothing for the rest of us to bid for?
