I've got a garage, built in the 70s. The side door is rotten, as is the frame. The 'hole' in the brickwork for the door and frame is 200cm x 93cm, which doesn't seem to match off the shelf UPVC doors and frames that I can find anywhere online. I'm not keen on having another wooden door, because I am too lazy to maintain it, and they can be a pain to open/close in winter.
The best thing I can fine with an internet search seems to be this metal door:
Security garage door.
They will make it in a reduced height, and sell me something pack out the frame width. However what looks good to my ignorant eyes might not actually be! So, is there a better off-the-shelf option, or any reason not to go with this (or similar)? Ideally I'd like to keep the price down, so fancy custom made stuff is out.
Many thank!
