Is there a max distance the internal double check valve should be from an outside tap?

Maybe will down where you are but on the island we don't get bad frosts,so the valves taps are ok and we put internal dcv on new builds op didn't say new build did he?. I personally like internal valves but valved taps are handy mate.

Ba advice OB,

1 - They are useless, the DCC will be knackered by frost in the first winter

2 - They are not allowed for new installs

Why aren't they allowed for new installs? WRAS approved ones are readily available

I had to google map to see where the IOL is:).

No frost? - it looks like the frozen North to me, so i am surprised:)

I understand the internal DCV taps are not allowed as a new INSTALLATION, as opposed to only new build.

You sure about that lack of frost, or are you just hardy?
