Chimney Leaking

I have a chimney breast that comes in to the kitchen/dining room. I have started to get damp along the breast low down, as if it is leaking in from the chimney, down to the slab and then in to the mortar.

Looking at the chimney from the outside there is flash seal and a few weeds growing out of the pointing.

If I was to have the chimney pointed and re-leaded, how much should I expect to pay?

Hard to say without photos and then it would be a guesstimate.

It all depends on the height of roof and angle and whether the contractor would use scaffold.
Access.
Chimney size and condition of mortar to be removed(labour, raking out)
Size and length of lead.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
