I've just had work carries put for a new roof which included removing one chimney.
There is no fireplace as the previous owners had boarded over the opening and had an electric fire. There is a small vent grille on the first floor breast wall.
The roofer I had said he would knock the chimney down below roof level and tile over as it wasn't in use. Now that the roofer is done I have looked in the loft space and can see the top of the remaining stack which appears to be left open.
Is this normal and ok, or should it be closed off somehow?
Advice appreciated. Thanks.
