Chimney Repoint Cost

Just looking for advice as to what I can expect to pay for repointing my chimney. Its on a 3 Bed semi and its quite a low chimny, about 10 brickes high.

Ball park figure required - NW england.

Roof access tower, and chimney scaff, and roof ladders are required if done to H&S demands. Access alone could be hundreds.

A guy struggling off a roof ladder against biting wind and rain might be £250 to £500 - if he falls, there goes your house because he wont have had insurance.

Why should the householder be responsible for a builders own negligence?

If the builder decides to work off a ladder, whilst knowing it is dangerous to do so, then he is responsible for his actions.

Makes me sick that people will not take responsibility for their own failures but sue the ars of some other person.

Harness, rope, ladder, bucket, 1 bag premix mortar, 1 pointing trowel, 1 chisel, 1 hammer.

£25 and about an hour of your time

I don't know why everyone is obsessed with scaffolding these days. A rope is infinitely safer and far cheaper/quicker. Also more fun.

I would imagine you'll get quotes from £500 - £1000 though, to answer your question.
