Hi all
My garage floor currently has a tarmac covering. This has been poorly done and bits come loose when swept, it has become fairly uneven where bits have come off but I presume was once flat and level. Cardboard boxes left on the floor over a year do not show any signs of damp. The old asbestos roof has been replaced due to the old one cracking. The garage is only used for general storage.
I would like to start exercising in the garage but am a bit concerned that the dust on the floor may have some asbestos in it from the old roof and so I am looking for the cheapest and quickest way to cover the floor. Would laying 11mm / 18mm chipboard directly on the tarmac be OK or would there be issues with damp (or any other issues).
I would rather not use self levelling screed / concrete
Any help appreciated
