I do not know what chipboard is. I have book on fabricating car interiors utilizing this product. Can anyone tell me what it is, where I can get or anything else?
The reason particle board (chipboard) is used on cars and caravans (camper vans) is that it is lighter than MDF and generally more moisture resistant than MDF. It's also cheaper. For the lightest weight material with some moisture resistance van makers are now using poplar plywood. You can get moisture resistant MDF (the green stuff), but it is even heavier than standard MDF
