choice of adhesive is alarming. help!

I'll be laying 300x300mm polished porcelain tiles tirectly onto the tiled floor in my kitchen. These existing tiles are laid onto the concrete floor and are throughout the ground floor of the house (no idea why, that's the 1950's for you) and dont want to budge easily and i'm happy to leave them there.

Can anyone suggest a decent adhesive and grout for my application as after 10 minutes staring at the options on the topps site just gave me a headache lol

The kitchen is about 10m2.

BAL adhesives and grout..... You might pay a few pennies more but it cannot be beaten on quality!!

Topps do sell it but they are quiet expensive retail; either negotiate a discount, try a local tile specialist or buy on-line; delivery will add to the cost but it may still be cheaper. You will need 2 x 22.5Kg for the adhesive but 1 x 3.5Kg grout should do you, assuming your going for wide joint but do confirm coverage yourself.

yes but only if it is a tile distributor and not a company like B&Q, Homebase etc etc

My local B&Q sells Mapei, saw it the other week, had a quick scan of the back of the pack and it was a C2 adhesive so suitable for Porc.

Have used it on occasion but not much; no problems & many swear by it being a good un so should do ya. Surprised it's in BNQ, perhaps they have someone in their buying dept. now that finally has some sense.
