Chrome plated copper

Can 15mm chrome copper be used in a pipe bender, or will the chrome crack/peel off??

the stuff i tried didnt work too good.wasted a length trying a couple of offset bends.doubt you could get a 90 bend out it.id advise against it

yes you can bend chrome at 90 degrees.

you might want to check your formers for wear

very possible as my last machine is in the bin but i honestly didnt think you could.i stand corrected.i also refused to believe you could bend overflow pipe until i tried it myself

yep clean formers , i bent a bit the other week and it just stretched and snapped half way through the 90. till i wired wooled the formers clean of carp

clean the former and the guide bar and lubricate the guide bar wheel and you can bend 90 degrees easily

Well my bender's fairley new, and I'll only need a small offset - so should be fine

hey dude,if u ain't done yr bend already.. try a internal bending spring for perfection
