I have a "bidet toilet" which I had installed for medical reason although it seems the trendy name for them now is " Smart toilet". It's seen better days and looking at replacing with a newer model.

I've looked at quite a few which don't have a water cistern and flush directly from the mains inlet. They still use the same amount of flush water as a cistern toilet.

Any experience, or thoughts on these? Any good or bad points to consider?

Edit . I know that these things need to be WRAS approved. My current one is (VitrA) and I would check that any replacement is also approved.
