Citroen AX11 brake light switch?

Does anyone know where the foot brake switch is located and if it earths the return from the bulbs or applies live to the bulbs?

it applies live to the bulbs. switch located above the pedal iirc. plunger on switch out to make, in to break circuit.

earth connections to the rear light clusters are another cause for concern on the ax. will usually show up if you put on the hazards and the brake lights at the same time. gives a christmas tree effect from the lights.

if you suspect the switch, just short the two terminals together, lights should come on ok. if this doesn't work check for +12v on one wire and about 6 ohm resistance on other.

Earth is Ok as I checked it when I had a look at the bulbs yesterday.
