Citroen Nemo Van

Hi guys ive recently brought a 14 plate nemo 1.3 with 130k on , has had new engine but when started the engine will idle but the accelerator is unresponsive, yet if you turn the ignition on wait for the glow plugs and give it around 5 seconds it will start sound a little rough but the accelerator is them responsive. I have had a local mechanic look at it and has changed most things and sensors he thought it could be but has not come up with a solution. Obviously happy that i know how to start and run it but would like to have it fixed. Also if you try to start the van with your foot on the accelerator at all it wont start either. Has anyone come across this or any suggestions?

Sounds like ecu, management issues

When was the replacement engine? Is the fault a recent issue or since the engine change

Very crisp engines, these and they are prone to fuel problems.
Has the fuel filter been replaced? It's a big unit, engine offside in an aluminium canister.
Are there any fault codes stored?
We also need to know if the EGR and turbo were replaced or at least reconditioned when the engine was replaced.

Fuel filter was replaced. Ill find out on the turbo and egr. Thanks alot

No egr valve and turbo weren’t replaced, and issue was happening before engine swap aswell. Thanks

Then how do you know the problem existed before the engine was changed?

Because they are friends of mine and said the fault was there before

Sounds like a fault they couldnt fix and were glad to be rid of.

Needs a diesel and engine management specialist by sound of it. Im still going for ecu issues
