Citroen Xantia Starting problem

Mums got a L reg 1.9td xantia with 157800 miles and recently it has been turning over really slowly like the battery is dieing but the battery volts don't really seem to be low. Any ideas whats up with it? when its started it doesent run any different than it did before.

Try popping to your local garage and get them to do a "Drop Test" on the battery - sometimes the voltage is fine until you apply a load and the voltage falls down too far.

I ended up getting a new battery as i left the meter on it and started it and the volts went down to 10ish so i gathered that the battery had had it. It had been on charge for most of the day as well as with no difference. Seems to be better now with the new batt
