Ive had my composite cladding on the front of my house for 2 yrs. Ive had the same window cleaner for over a yr.
Last week the window cleaner came and did his usual job. i noticed a few days later what looked like to be water marks.
I rang his straight up and told him what i was ringing about and sent him pics.
He shared the pics on a window cleaning forum. One of the responses were that its my pvc windows leeching!
I asked him if he had added something to his water, which he denies.
Ive spoken to my cladding fitter, who almost wet him self laughing about the excuse of the window cills leeching.
Thoughts please.

Get him back to wash the cladding for you...something has stained them...

You can clearly see this is water stained, whatever cleaning agent he is using will have done this, sparkling clean windows though.

The colour-fastness quality in the cladding looks crap. Even between the windows, the cladding colour density is inconsistent. It is at it's best where it is sheltered.

He isn't asking for your opinion on his choice of decor or what you think to it. He is asking about the clear staining under each window.

Have you got a before picture? If it is his fault - e.g chemicals in water - consider using a cleaner who uses mineral water.

what i cant work out is how the water has got there in such a volume
the overhang of the cill should deflect 90-100% off what comes off the window ??

Don't they use those long hoses and brushes that free flow? if he is cleaning the sills and his brush is half on the sill and half off it, the half off it would pour down the wall? Just my suspiscion.

It's nothing to do with the window cleaner, all he has done is expose the poor quality of the cladding colour fastness.

Look at the individual boards between the windows, i.e. those unaffected by water. The discolouration or weather bleaching is alarming.

Crap product if you ask me.

So if its nothing to do with the window cleaner ( who has been cleaning the windows for over a yr) how comes this has just happened? maybe the pic i took is not a great one. Not Crap product at all.... But thanks for your opinion! Really helpful!

You can clearly see it is directly below each window. You do not need to be sherlock holmes to work this out, also do not be so rude as to tell someone that their cladding is crap. It looks nice if it wasn't for the. two obvious stains.

May be i am guilty of not running a hose over it to clean! Im not the only one to have this product from the same supplier & fitted to their house. No one elses is like this.... we obvs dont share the same window cleaner. This is how it looked when fitted 2 yrs ago.

Its obviously that the window cleaner is using something that is causing those stains. Water will do that though. Lots of factors to consider...def something in the water!

Looks to me like the composite cladding is porous and the water has run down and dried leaving it streaky.

Was it Sunny the day he did the windows

Have you checked that the rest of the cladding isn't just filthy?
