Hi all,
I am banging my head off the wall here...
I am trying to find the correct fasteners of which compress a 58mm outer diameter/50mm inner diameter ribbed flexible hose onto 50mm hosetails (2" pipe)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-inch-50...ondsWaterFeatures_UK&var=&hash=item27c54f2a71
Ive tried a few of these hoses and the one above is the best quality....
As of the pics they are leaking badly
I have tried normal jubilee clips but the 11mm band is not wide enough to compress the ribbed parts of the pipe
I have tried these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-Yamits...den_PondsWaterFeatures_UK&hash=item3f075be179
I got one of these today (21mm wide) but its to small and the larger 2" one is to big
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-X-1-75-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5897c43295
I got these today..
http://www.hcl-clamping.co.uk/Double-Wire-Screw-Hose-Clamp-Mollfam-P17
These are the clips in the pictures...The 50.5mm - 56mm ones fit over the pipe just about and tighten up nice and tight but still leaks
The problem I am having is where the ribbed part of the hose crosses over it dosent cause a proper seal
These are an option but the tollerences are not good and they are very expensive
http://www.thehosemaster.co.uk/spiral-clamps-579.html
They come in left and right wound versions (Ive no idea in practise what left and right would means i.e looking down the pipe from what end)
I dont want to be goofing around with ptfe tape, various sealants etc as it will end up looking like a mess
There is water only going through the pipes/fittings moved via a pump so the pressure is not that high
Anyone any ideas?
