I have a lovely set of Purdy Monarch Elite brushes.

I have only ever used them for waterbased paint.

At the weekend I plan on painting some door frames with oil based satin wood.
What is the best way to clean this out of the brush once I finish as I want to keep these brushes in good nick.

Many Thanks

If you intend using them with oil-based again then just leave them standing in water..
If you need them cleaned then just pour some white spirit into a container and clean them in that, youll probably need to pour away & repeat a few times until the spirit is almost clear then wash them in warm water & washing-up liquid, shape them whilst wet ;)

As a rule any synthetic brushes are designed purely for waterbased paints. For oil based I would recommend purchasing a natural bristle brush from a decorator's merchants. They will give you a better finish when you lay off the paint.

The synthetic brushes will be more likely to show brush marks.
