I am currently in the process of cleaning my sandstone fireplace for the first time in a few years. I have gone through cleaning it all with water, and has got rid of most of the horribleness. But has left me with a few black marks, which as a guess is burnt bits that have fallen out of the fire. Has anyone got any ideas of how i can get rid of the marks? I have already got rid of any lumps so it is just the marks that are left.
