clicking/tapping noise

when the hot water and/or central heating is active on the programmer i can hear a tapping/clicking noise, the noise originates from the airing cupboard where the c/h pump and a 3port valve is. any idea what this clicking/tapping noise is and how to stop it, its really bugging me

It could be a worn bearing in your pump. Try bleededing pump, flush system could be gunk build up. I had to get a new one and noise abolished, not bad for 12 years that old pump!
