Clipping T&E direct

What are the rules+regs on clipping T&E direct to an internal brick wall. i.e. no conduit or trunking just clipped directly to a wall. Does it have to be a certain height etc.

don't think there are any specific regs but there is the general catchall that equipment must be suitable for it's environment.

So its ok to do so then if the environment is safe enough?

I thought anything under 2m should have mechanical protection
