Hi all, sorry if this question is basic, i just want to get my head around it all lol

we have a WB Greenstar Gas 37CDI boiler with Honeywell CMT927

CMT927 is in the downstairs hall way and the rad in the hall way has the TRV set to full (trv already fitted on this rad)

the lounge and bedrooms all have TRVs

so for example i set the hallway honeywell stat to 21c, the hall way reaches 21c and the stat tells the boiler to switch off.

if the bedrooms start to get cold, will the bedroom trv switch the boiler on? even when the boiler is in the off state? or will the bedroom TRV only call for the heat if the honeywelll stat is below 21c?

i suppose what im asking is does the honeywell stat have precedence over the rad trvs?

also im using the cmt927 straight of teh box with some custom timings, ive read there is extra features to be used on it, should i bother with them or just leave it as it is?

thanks

Normal TRV's do not switch anything on or off. They just allow water to flow through a rad when cold, and not when hot.
The devices that tell the boiler to fire are the thermostat and timer (in your case, the CM927)

Yes it do but there are occasions where it is over zealous and comes on way to early. Never figured out why, or a pattern to it.

Window Open is handy for the wireless modules. Never found out why the wired ones don't have it.

If the stat is controlling a manifold or a zone specific pump, then put on the pump exercise feature too.

Worth changing the minimum set point too.
