Help, I was drawing the curtains the other night and I didn't noticie I had coal on my hands from making the fire. Now I have a dark coal mark on the pale fabric (couldn't have been on the dark red bit of the curtain could it !)
Any suggestions how to remove it ? I don't want to rub and make it worse. The curtains are not labelled but I think they are cotton. Should I just wash them? They are floor to ceiling so would be a pain to have to iron them (I am lazy). Would dry cleaning be the answer ?
The website link given previously doesn't seem to want to work when I click on soot stains I get tomato based stain removal. Very helpful.
