Hi all, newby here! The other half accidently switched on the immersion heater for approx 8 hours the other week. Since then all hot water from the tank is of a poor flowrate! I've done the backflush thing from the washing machine pipes and this hasn't alleviated the problem so now i think its the cold feed from the header tank in the loft going into the hot water tank in the bathroom could be partially choked i.e restricting head pressure?(after 8 hours of boiling who knows what crud its lifted off inside!!!!) So now to the system, its a open/vented conventional boiler system in a soft water area and was fine until the unnatural blonde did her magic!!! The cold feed can be isolated via a gate valve in the cupboard and there is a drain point at the bottom, so i'm assuming i can attach a garden-type hose onto this from the cold water(loads of pressure) and blast the crud away!!!! Yes? No? Any advice is greatly received. Merci beaucoup!![/b]
