My sister has a myson apollo boiler, the flow to the pump comes off the top and a 15mm pipe joins it (15mm got a bollafix valve) then it goes under the floor about 10ft to the pump. My question is; if the 15mm pipe is the cold fill i thought the vent should be next to it or am i wrong. Its a Y plan.

Yup, vent should go up before the fill, which shouldn't have a ballofix on it  !

unless its a 15mm combined feed/expansion. seen that one a few times, never seen it with an isolating valve on it before though

I don't know if its definitely the cold fill (goes upstairs, laminate floor) could it be something else ?. Return has manual air vent flow hasn't, even though the flow is higher. I could split the bollofix and see if it drains, if it does should i take out the bollofix ?
