cold Garage room

I have a bedroom above my garage. It has a radiator and still feels colder than the other 3 bedrooms. I presume this is because of the cold garage below.
What do you reckon to me insulating the garage ceiling below with Kingspan or even loft insulation between timber battens , with plasterboard on top.
Any other ideas/materials greatly appreciated.

Kingspan- + fire retardant Plasterboard.edges sealed round with intumescent acrylic (gun fill tubes) from screwfix

Just done mine, as it happens

look at plastering links here to get info on stagering board joints fixings etc. Having said that.as a plumber, if the garage ceiling is already boarded and plastered

Have you thought of using suspended ceiling with insulation ceiling tiles?
