One of my radiators is not heating up. The rest are fine. The problem one is fitted with a thermostatic valve. Is this likely to be the problem, and if so, is there a way to verify this without draining off and removing the valve.

take the sensor off (head) and gently tap it with a pair of pliers 
what model and make of valve ?
