Hi,
I've been trying out a few shades of white for my bathroom ceiling which is currently painted in white matt emulsion. This is just how it was when I moved in, so I figure it's best to paint it with actual bathroom paint with a low sheen.
I bought a shade called morning mist from focus (own brand) and tested it on the wall which is just plastered and not painted. On there, it comes up exactly the colour I want, a sort of off white, but on the pure white ceiling it looks nothing short of a depressing grey.
Any suggestions on how to mix it to the right colour for the white base, or perhaps I should paint the entire ceiling in a different coloured base coat first?
