I have a Combi 80 boiler under contract with British Gas. The boiler keeps going in Lock Out especially when it tries to light first thing in the morning. BG have replaced just about everything to no avail still have the same problem. Any help out there please
I am assuming that British Gas has competent engineers. The pump has been replaced, the modular board, the gas valve. The boiler does not appear to overheat as it is fine when it shuts down at night, it is in the morning it fails to start.
please dont regard BG as competant .. i have a customer just cancelled there breakdown cover as 2 engineers could not remove the lid on a toilet cistern .. i called to remove the lid to aid the engineer he then went on to say the ball valve was faulty and said he would order 1 it will be here in 2 to 3 weeks.
I am surprised that you still assume that they are competent!
Most people would be assuming they had been incompetent in fixing your boiler!
I would expect to correctly diagnose your fault on the first visit and to fix it then. But then I would not be getting paid if I could not fix it and would be wasting my time on unnecessary further visits.
