Combi Boiler Central Heating only works occasionally.....

I have a Saunier Duval Thelia Twin 28E combi boiler controlled with a Potterton Mini Minder Es.

The hot water works fine, but the heating only seems to work intermittently - - mainly OK in the mornings, dodgier in the evening. I am hoping this is just a case of me needing a new controller? But can anyone shed any light on this?

Any advice greatfully received!

tom, just a thought... is your room stat on the right setting ? this might explain why your heating works okay in the mornings, as it's colder

Thanks for that - i dont have a thermostat in the house - all the radiators are on thermostatic valves. Have ordered a new controller, so hopefully that will help.

Glad to say, I replaced the timer and all is now OK!
