Just had an oil to gas conversion done.
I want to improve the pipe lagging here. What should I use, Armaflex?

I want to make the pipe insulation as precise as possible.

Down the line I want to replace all the loft insulation and achieve 300mm depth or equivalent - but I'm concerned the boiler pipes are in the way here. Any creative ideas on achieving the appropriate u-value for loft insulation?

Also.. am I going to need to have these notched joists reinforced?

Certainly looks like the joists need reinforcement,
You are correct it absolutely does need reinforced. The team who carried out my gas conversion have said they will put it right.

How would you go about putting this right?

presumably the pipes will need lifted , and joist reinforced

I notice the walls are not plastered and the floor looks patchy.

Is this in a loft?

I think that will make it easier to reinforce the joists, because it will not matter if they are deeper and stick up more.

How do you normally reinforce loft joists like these? What can be done?
