Hi,
I hope someone might be able to help - even if it's just offering me a bit more understanding...
We've just moved 3 weeks ago and the boiler is set to water heating only for summer. We have turned the dial for the water temperature down to minimum but the water still remains too hot. Usually you would just turn on the cold tap to reduce the temperature (the kitchen and bathroom taps are mixer taps), but when doing this is reduces the pressure through the hot and the boiler stops heating the water. So you end up getting a hot/cold water with no midway, and this from all taps. When we moved in the water temperature dial was about 80%, and if I'm honest - I didn't notice much of a reduction in temperature when we turned it down to minimum... There doesn't appear to be any water pressure issues, the dial has always been at 1 when I've checked.
Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated - I apologise if I've missed some key info out, please ask.
Thanks,
Kate
P.S. Just noticed whilst washing up this morning, that the water runs cold if hot tap only is left on a reasonably full flow - I won't turn it on full as there will be a sea of water everywhere in the kitchen.
