I am a builder, my neighbour has a combi boiler fitted in the loft with the flue through the tiled roof. i noticed that it was making a bang from the flue pipe. i did tell the neighbour that i did not know enough to say what it was but i knew that it wasn't right. they don't seem to have done anything about it and it seems to be getting louder and seems to be when ever the boiler fires up. anybody got any thoughts on this

Your post pretty much answer's your question , when boier start's up !!
ignition problem gas related , need's looking at by an rgi !!!

I think the builder knows that.

First see if the people you have told are the owners or tenants.

If owners then speak to them again and ask that what they have done or are going to do.

If you get no helpful response then you have two options, the best is the Environmental Health as they have powers of entry and extreme powers to fine people.

Tell the EHO that you are concerned for your safety as a neighbour and you are worried that it may explode and kill/injure you or your family!
