Combi or system boiler - 3 shower rooms - 5 bed semi

Hi, We have moved house and want a new boiler.

Here are specs.

• We want radiator changed. some of which are on smaller pipes.
• The house has 3 showers and 1 WC.
• The house is 5 bed room ( 1 as roof as loft extension).
• The house has a garage, which we want to relocate the boiler too (from kitchen)
• me and my wife have 1 child, but planning on extending our family and plan to live in house for 15+ years.
• We want a boiler which can be linked to a thermostat.
• We have 9 radiators in house - 7of which we want changing.
• the gas / water supply is in garage

Ok so what boiler do we need. a System boiler(happy to sacrifice garage space for tank)? a good combi? Looking @ something from the worcester bosch range

Wouldn't go for a combi. Water mains permitting, Intergas 24kw system boiler and 210 litre Unvented cylinder.

Possibly an Eco RF 24 with the combi side feeding the kitchen and warm outside tap.

You were doing so well up to the last three words ! Have your mains water flow and pressure checked and then you can decide where to go from there.

can i self check water pressure? can i do it via smart meter?

You'll need a pressure guage, bucket and stopwatch.

this is what you need:
this to check pressure and this to measure flow.

The first one you can screw on standard garden water tap.
System with an unvented cylinder is a way to go but have to make sure flow is good enough.

just to add I was in a similar situation asking on this forum about 2 years back - combi or system for 5 bedroom house
Thanks to advice from the guys here got system - 210l unvented cylinder with 24kW boiler which serves 2 showers, 7 rads and 3 zones underfloor heating

As an aside I have a 24kw combi boiler and a 150 litre cylinder. Currently there are 5 of us in the house and not had a problem with hot water.

The combi boiler is not acting as a combi at the moment, but I will be converting the system over to work as I described in my opening post.

The cylinder reheats from totally cold to full temperature in 22 minutes with no draw off. So when topping off from a hot start, you can shower ore or less constantly if you don't mind the heating being off for the duration.

The house itself (4 bed detached) only needs 15kW for the heating when it is -3 outside.

providing pressure flow is ok - any suggestions on products? eg a 24kw and 201L

Intergas SB24 and Joule Cylinder.

Intergas SB245 and Joule Cylinder.

I'll second that, Intergas SB24 (not 245 - typo) connected to a Joule Cyclone with a decent control set will be the best setup you can get

3rd for Joule and Intergas - High Gain (Heat pump model) 200 Cyclone for even faster recovery, or you could always look at tank in tank for high hot water recovery and gas boiler buffer. Many options to choose from.

The intergas SB24 on website says heats 2-4 rooms? i have more??? solar cyslinder? do i need solar panels on roof? how does this work.
