hot water working on potterton lyne2 combi but central heating comes on for a few seconds then goes off any idears ? pcb, pump and flow switch been changed also when I loop the flow switch out c heating works fine thanks

Poor flow in CH circuit.

Possibly manifold of diverter valve stuck/blocked.

Possibly TRVs stuck closed ( if fitted ).

Blindly changing parts does not fix boilers.

Or even boiler flow/return valves not turned on.

Sometimes plastic knobs turn but dont open the valves!

yes I agree but british gas done the work. and seem lost? hot water returns to boiler in about 2-3 minetes so I dont think its a flow problem thanks

You may say that!

But you have already said that it works fine when you bypass the flow switch!

You have the evidence but you are not interpreting it !

The next question is what is causing a lack of flow in the CH mode.

I would next want to know if its inside or outside the boiler.
