I had the common Miele Dryer issue of starting a cycle then switching off after 30 seconds or so. And also the issue a cycle running but no heat.
I tired the NTC switch etc and none of that worked.
Finally I got a Miele engineer round and he said it was simply that the mesh vent strips that sit INSIDE the bottom door aperture (not the door itself) were clogged and causing safety cutout.
Now they may well appear to be clear as like myself, you regularly 'de-fluff' them. But it;s actually clogged with limescale and you need to brush them with a nail brush or toothbrush until they are clear when held up to light.
So before you start long and expensive procedures - try this first, Miele guy said it was common.
