Hi, I have replaced my triton shower and as per instructions not used any jointing compound. The fitting on the shower is leaking slowly.
What are my options, is ptfe a no go either?

Try a small amount of ptfe

PTFE on the olive, not the threads.

Perhaps the nut needs a little more of a nip to tighten.

I gave it a good clean and tried again and it has sealed without needing any ptfe, it's stayed dry so far. Wonder if there was a bit of grit on the olive.

Did you re-use the old nut and olive that was connected to the previous shower? If so, a wrap of gas PTFE tape (Or 5 if a plain water PTFE tape) is always recommended.
