I have a 55cm space between my Ikea kitchen units (depth 60cm). I'd like to install a 45cm slimline dishwasher.

I plan to conceal it with a 50cm door, 5cm filling panel and plinth (16cm). Does anyone foresee any problems with that?

I'm assuming I can't have an integrated one as the door would be wider than the appliance.

Anyone know any brands whose depths are 55-77cm?

Thanks

I don't see why you cant use an integrated dishwasher. I used a 500mm door on a 450mm slimline dishwasher - which is kindof what you're planning on doing anyway?? At least with a integrated dishwasher it won't be sitting proud of the worktop.

Thanks - you're right!

I just went down to Comet to see how they're attached. Looks like you screw through from inside the the applicance to the rear of the door. I thought they were attrached by straps.

Some are attached by straps, but it makes no difference, the straps are attached to the door and then the door fitted to the dishwasher.
