Hello,

I’m going to install tiles on the upper floor, the tiles are 25 kg/m2, the concrete boards probably 11 kg/m2, so 36 kg/m2 in addition, for about 50 m2 max.

We’re talking about 1800 kg of additional weight, shall I be concerned?
If I keep myself at less than 150 kg/m2, I should be fine, though in one area there is an electric boiler that keeps the water warm, only that thing, assuming it ever fills up, it takes 180 kg/m2, I wonder how the hell it was approved…
So the tiles concern me a bit, but only for another m2, so 25 kg in addition for a total of 205 kg in 2 m2, which probably doesn’t count but it’s a risk because I’m not a structure engineer and I don’t know how to evaluate what’s underneath.

Also the ground floor will receive additional weight, of around 500 m2, but I guess that’s not an issue because the land should have been assessed for much more weight than that, it’s a relatively new development site, around 10y ago.
